Since I do not have a scale or a tape measure, I have no way to really know if I'm losing weight. I guess that's all right, it shouldn't be my focus anyway. If I did I know that I would be checking it every hour! :) I do have a pair of pants that are a little tight in the belly area. I will wear those during the cleanse and use that as a judge.
But I did take some 'before' pictures standing in a swim suit.
The more I read about this cleanse the more I want to do a raw vegan lifestyle afterwards, people keep commenting that they lose their taste for meats and processed/sugary foods. They begin to realize what kind of foods make their body feel good and what makes it feel slow and sluggish. I suppose for one -- they get all those addictives out of their system through the cleanse so their body is no longer craving it. This is supposed to be good for those who are addicted to substances or cigerettes. I figured - I am addicted to sugar - maybe it will help me. Wow- that's the first time I've ever admitted that! I am addicted to sugar. It's so plain and obvious! hehe.
I do like me some fruit! And I am starting to come around as far as veggies. Not my favorite -- well -- I like carrots, brocolli, califlower, cabbage, I can tolerate sweet onions for flavor, potatoes... That's all for now. I absolutely hate tomatoes and no amount of pursuading on my mom's part will change that! :) And fruit! Mummm....pinapple --delicous. And CHERRIES!!! Apples, Oranges, strawberries, bananas... And you know what - these things are sweet and they hit my sweet tooth just right it seems.
I suppose I'll give it until 10:30 or so and then I'll go make me some of The Tea.
Waking up at 6am tomorrow to do my first salt water flush ASAP.
Hey -- this journaling will probably help me. Abundantly.
I was wondering what effects this will have on my spiritual life, but that is a topic for another day!
